Q + A

When and where is the wedding?

The wedding is at Birch Wood Vineyards in Derry, NH at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, 12/20/25.

What time should I arrive?

We are asking guests to arrive at approximately 4:00 p.m. We are starting promptly at 4:30 p.m. If you know Erica, you know that this event is starting on time. No last minute delays in this one. Please arrive well before the ceremony starts!

Is there an after party?

Yes, there is an after party. We'll include more information in our wedding invites, but we are hosting an after party for those who want to keep the party going until the early morning. Take a look at the home page for more information.

Will there be a shuttle or transportation available?

Yes! We are working through the details of that now, but we will provide a shuttle from the wedding hotels (Artisan Hotel and Holiday Inn) to the venue and back! If you attend the after party, you'll need to Uber back to the Holiday Inn. Or stay at The Artisan and just walk across the street!

Are you really getting married five days before Christmas?

Yes, we are! We share a love for the holiday season, the cozy Hallmark Channel vibes that warm our hearts and fill us with a nostalgia for the childlike wonder of Christmas. The rustic venue combined with the festive, romantic, and classy aesthetic of the holidays capture both of us very well. Most importantly, we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and we are so thankful to covenant with one another in a sacred marriage dedicated to loving God and one another.

Are you registered anywhere?

Well, currently, we're only registered to vote. However, we're working on creating a wedding registry and we'll share that information on this site as soon as we have it. Thank you in advance! What a nice question! :)

What's the vibe of this wedding?

Great question. If you know Stephen, you know of his appreciation for the bygone era of the vintage gentleman. He is a man who appreciates sophistication, high quality experiences, an intellectual conversation about theology and philosophy, a great read, a dad joke, sweet tobacco, and a smooth bourbon. If Dean Martin and Tim Keller could blend personalities, you'd know Stephen well. Erica lightens the mood with her desire to see everyone celebrate and have a good time. Light, humorous, sociable, and energetic, Erica is happiest when she's surrounded by those she loves and seeing them come alive. When the music is pumping, Erica is dancing, drink in hand, taking more pictures than anyone else so she can revisit her favorite memories later. She's got updates on Dancing with the Stars, a playlist filled with Jelly Roll, Brandon Lake, and Pentatonix, and has memorized the entire screenplay to The Grinch. Fiercely loyal, she's the first to sacrifice for the good of others. Stephen brings the academic out of Erica. Erica brings the party out of Stephen. So what's the vibe? It's Bud Light meets Basil Hayden, it's Frank Sinatra meets Taylor Swift, it's documentary meets rom-com. We'll start with shirts tucked in and heels on, and we'll end with shirts untucked and heels off. Come ready!

Are you really planning an entire wedding in six months?

Yep. We firmly believe that we should not delay a marriage to plan a wedding. A wedding is one day, a marriage is a lifetime. We're ready to be married, so why wait?

When and how do I RSVP?

We will post an RSVP link right here on the website soon enough. In the meantime, if you're certain you can't come, we'd greatly appreciate a heads up. No hard feelings, we promise! Email, text, call, messenger owl - just let us know so we can plan!

What if it snows?

Sigh. We will cry tears of joy that we will have such a picturesque day. Seriously, unless the weather is unsafe, it's New England in December, and we're ready for anything. The entire event is indoors and climate controlled, so we'll enjoy a crackling fireplace (a few of them actually) as we watch the snowflakes fall (or it'll be 50 degrees because it's New England and who knows?).

Can I park at the venue?

Sure can! There is PLENTY of parking.

Can I bring my kids?

We love your children—we really do! However, our wedding is an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone the chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us.

What should I wear?

This is a formal wedding, so we kindly ask that everyone dress accordingly. However, if you were to do an outfit change as the night progressed and you want to let loose to do The Wobble with Stephen on the dance floor, no one would be mad. But Stephen will be in his tux all night until the after party.

What's the alcohol situation?

Our cocktail hour and reception will be open bar, but the after party will be cash bar with our private server. Drink responsibly and please, use our shuttles!
